If you're into The Prince of Tennis anime, this GBA game is basically a love letter to fans—though honestly, even if you've never seen the show, it's still a surprisingly solid tennis sim. You pick your favorite Seigaku regular (or whoever) and jump straight into matches that feel way faster than you'd expect from a pixelated handheld game.
The controls take a minute to get used to—timing your swings feels weirdly precise, and I kept whiffing backhands at first. But once it clicks, you start pulling off ridiculous anime-style shots that curve midair or bounce sideways. Yeah, it's not exactly realistic, but that's half the fun. The AI doesn't mess around either—even on normal difficulty, some of these middle schoolers will absolutely wreck you if you're not paying attention.
Matches are quick, the sprite work's charming, and there's just enough fan service (not that kind) with character-specific super moves. Just don't expect a deep career mode or anything—it's straight-up arcade tennis with a shonen anime coat of paint. Perfect for short bursts between classes or whenever you need to pretend you're Ryoma for 15 minutes.
