Tak 2 on the GBA is one of those sequels that actually builds on the first game without losing what made it fun. You're still playing as Tak, but this time the magic staff you're chasing has some wild dream-based powers—which basically means the levels get way weirder and more creative than before.
The first few minutes throw you into this jungle area that feels familiar if you played the original, but then you start messing with dream orbs and suddenly platforms shift or enemies turn into weird floaty versions of themselves. The controls are tight for a GBA platformer, though some of the later puzzles had me scratching my head for a bit.
It’s not the deepest game out there, but it’s got that early 2000s Nickelodeon charm—bright colors, goofy humor, and just enough challenge to keep you pushing forward. If you liked the first Tak or just want a solid handheld platformer, this one’s worth a play.
