Tdl Fantasy Tour Game

TDL Fantasy Tour is one of those Game Boy RPGs that somehow nails that perfect mix of simple and deep. You start off picking your party—I went with the rogue first time, no regrets—and then you're just... wandering these little pixel forests and caves, getting into turn-based scraps with monsters that look like they crawled out of an old sketchbook.
The combat's got this sneaky depth to it—at first you're just mashing attack, but then you realize positioning actually matters, and some enemies straight-up counter you if you don't think ahead. Found that out the hard way when a mushroom thing wrecked my whole team because I got greedy.
What really sticks with me though are the tiny details—like how your footsteps make different sounds on stone vs grass, or the way townsfolk give you nonsense sidequests ("find my missing turnip" turned into a 30-minute dungeon dive). It's got that classic RPG vibe where you can tell the devs crammed in little jokes everywhere.
If you've got a soft spot for chunky pixels and menus that go *blip* when you navigate them, this one's a time capsule worth cracking open.
