Super Pika Land Ultra (demo) feels like someone dug up a lost SNES gem—it nails that classic platformer vibe with chunky pixels and bouncy music that instantly takes you back. You play as this little electric mouse thing (Pika, I guess?) hopping across candy-colored levels full of hidden nooks and dumb little secrets. The first stage throws coins at you like it's worried you'll leave, but by level two, you're already dodging spike traps and weird floating eyeball enemies.
What surprised me was how weighty the jumps feel—your character has just enough momentum to make landing on tiny platforms satisfying without being frustrating. And the music? Cheesy in the best way, like someone remixed a Mega Man soundtrack with a kazoo. It's short (demo, duh), but the last boss fight against a giant screeching tomato made me laugh out loud. If you miss when platformers were weird and unpolished in all the right ways, this is worth booting up.
