Nakayoshi Pet Series 3 is one of those classic Game Boy Color pet sims where you raise an absurdly cute pixel pup. It’s Japan-only, so expect lots of pastel menus and charm—think Tamagotchi vibes but with more wagging tails. You start by picking your puppy (I always went for the floppy-eared one) and then it’s all about feeding, playing fetch, and trying not to accidentally neglect your digital dog when you forget to save. The sprites are tiny but full of personality, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching your little guy grow from a clumsy furball to a slightly less clumsy adult dog. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—it’s pure 90s handheld comfort food.
