Pokémon Pinball on the Game Boy Color is exactly what it sounds like—Pokémon, but with flippers and a silver ball. The table’s packed with little monsters to catch, and hitting certain bumpers triggers mini-events where you gotta nail a Poke Ball shot to add them to your collection. The rumble feature (yeah, it had that!) gives every shot a tiny kick, which was weirdly satisfying for a handheld.
At first, I thought it’d just be a reskin of regular pinball, but there’s actually a surprising amount of strategy—do you go for evolution chains, or hunt down rare spawns? The art’s bright and chunky in that classic GBC way, and the music’s got that upbeat Pokémon vibe. It’s one of those games you boot up thinking “just one round” and suddenly it’s been an hour.
