Super Black Bass Advance is one of those weirdly addictive fishing sims that shouldn’t work as well as it does. You start off with basic gear—some lures, a rod that feels like it’ll snap if you hook anything bigger than a minnow—and then you’re just… standing there, waiting. The water ripples, the tension builds, and suddenly you’re wrestling with a fish that absolutely does not want to be caught. The GBA’s tiny screen somehow makes every tug-of-war feel intense.
It’s got that classic early 2000s charm—pixelated fish, chunky menus, and a soundtrack that’s half zen, half "I swear this bass is mocking me." You’ll unlock better gear as you go, but don’t expect realism. This is arcade fishing, where the fish fight like they’ve got something to prove. If you’ve got a soft spot for weird little sports games, this one’s a surprisingly good time.
