Okay, so Spyro Advance on the GBA is basically a tiny, portable version of that classic purple dragon chaos—just with slightly smaller levels and way more charm than you'd expect from a handheld port. You start off blasting through these bright, bite-sized worlds, torching sheep (because of course), collecting gems, and doing that satisfying little hover-glide thing Spyro always does.
The controls take a second to get used to—sometimes the charge attack feels a little stiff compared to the console games—but once you adjust, it’s weirdly addictive. There’s something about the chunky GBA sprites and those goofy enemy designs that just works. Also, the music? Surprisingly good for a Game Boy title.
It’s not as deep as the PS1 originals, but if you’re looking for a quick Spyro fix on the go, this one’s got that classic platforming vibe down. Just don’t expect to be stuck on puzzles for hours—it’s more about breezy, nostalgic fun.
