Speedball 2 on Game Boy is basically cyberpunk rugby with zero rules—just armored maniacs slamming into each other in a steel cage. You’ve got spiked walls, electrified floors, and a ball that might as well be a weapon. First time I played, I spent half the match just trying to knock out the other team instead of scoring. Turns out, that’s a legit strategy.
It’s way smoother than the first Speedball, with better controls and this weirdly satisfying crunch when you body-check someone into the barriers. The pixel art holds up too—those little armored dudes have way more personality than they should. If you like your sports games with more violence than sport, this one’s a riot.
