Okay, so imagine Dragon Quest, but you're a slime—and not just any slime, one with a tail you can whip around like a weapon. That’s Slime Morimori Dragon Quest in a nutshell. It’s weirdly satisfying to bounce around, smacking enemies with your tail while they just… flail helplessly.
The game’s got that classic Dragon Quest charm—bright colors, goofy monsters, and NPCs with way too much personality. But instead of swords and spells, you’re solving puzzles and fighting by stretching, bouncing, and generally being a gelatinous menace. The first time I knocked a bat out of the air mid-bounce, I cackled. It’s stupid fun in the best way.
Fair warning: some of the later puzzles get sneaky, and the boss fights actually make you think about how to use your squishy little body. But even when I got stuck, I never minded because the music’s cheerful and the slime noises are ridiculous. If you’ve got a GBA and a soft spot for weird spin-offs, this one’s a blast.
