I remember picking up Sky Dancers: They Magically Fly! for the Game Boy Advance back in 2005. It was published by TDK Mediactive, one of those many licensed titles that filled the shelves during the GBA's peak. The game stood out simply because it was based on the winged doll line, a novelty in a sea of platformers and RPGs.

You control a Sky Dancer character, guiding her through a series of side scrolling levels. The main goal is to rescue your friends who have been captured, navigating environments like forests and castles. The signature mechanic is, of course, flying. You tap a button to make your character flap her wings and ascend; managing your height to avoid obstacles is a constant task. You also collect musical notes scattered throughout the stages, which are essential for progression. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some later levels require precise flight control to slip through narrow passages. It feels like a light, airborne adventure where your thumb does most of the work.
