Pokemon Trading Card Game 2 (en) Game

Pokémon Trading Card Game 2 on the Game Boy Color is basically the sequel we never got outside Japan—until now, thanks to fan translations. If you played the first one, this is more of that solid turn-based card battling, but with way more cards and some neat tweaks. You start off picking a deck (I went with the Psychic one because, let’s be real, Alakazam slaps), and the tutorial’s there if you need it, though it’s pretty straightforward if you know the basics.
The AI’s a bit smarter this time, and there’s a whole new story mode where you’re battling through different clubs instead of just grinding the same old gym leaders. The music’s still that classic GBC chiptune vibe, and the pixel art for the cards actually looks sharper than you’d expect. Only downside? No trading, which is kinda ironic for a Trading Card Game. Still, it’s a solid way to kill time if you’re into old-school Pokémon TCG nostalgia.
