So, Pocahontas on Game Boy—yeah, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Disney movie tie-in. You play as Pocahontas (obviously) and her raccoon buddy Meeko, running through forests, jumping over logs, and rescuing trapped animals. Every time you free one, they give you a little power-up—like extra speed or a double jump—which is handy because some of those later levels get pretty tricky.
It’s got that classic mid-90s platformer feel—simple controls, bright colors, and a soundtrack that’s basically just the movie theme on loop. Not gonna lie, the hit detection can be a little wonky, and Meeko’s sections feel kinda tacked on, but if you grew up with the movie, there’s some nostalgia here. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
