Ninja Boy on Game Boy is one of those classic side-scrollers where you jump, slash, and occasionally wonder why ninjas have to deal with so many random spikes everywhere. The first level throws you right into it—shurikens flying, enemies popping out of nowhere, and that satisfying little *swish* sound when your sword connects.
It’s got that old-school charm where the controls are simple (d-pad and two buttons, that’s it), but timing your jumps over bottomless pits gets tense real fast. I remember getting stuck on this one boss who kept teleporting—took me way too many tries to figure out the pattern. The music’s got that classic chiptune energy, the kind that sticks in your head even after you turn it off.
If you’re into retro action with a side of "why is that enemy suddenly behind me?!", this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing shurikens in your sleep.
