Man, this one takes me back. Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun on the Game Boy is basically a pocket-sized brawler where you play as Kunio (or Riki if you're feeling spicy) and just... punch dudes. A lot. It's got that classic Kunio-kun energy—schoolyard fights, ridiculous special moves, and enemies that go flying when you land a good hit.
At first glance, it looks simple—walk right, beat up gang members—but there's some sneaky depth. You can grab pipes or bats, throw enemies into each other, and even pull off these weirdly satisfying spinning piledrivers. The controls take a minute to get used to, especially on the tiny Game Boy buttons, but once it clicks, you'll be tossing goons around like laundry.
It's not as flashy as the NES games, but there's something charming about how chaotic it gets when the screen fills up with delinquents. Just don't expect a deep story—it's 90% "I'm here to kick butt" and 10% "wait, why am I fighting a sumo wrestler in an alley?"
