Milon's Secret Castle is one of those weird, kinda frustrating but weirdly charming NES-era platformers that got ported to the Game Boy. You play as this little bubble-blowing guy named Milon, and yeah, you're supposed to rescue a princess, but honestly, the real challenge is figuring out where the heck to go.
The castle's full of hidden doors—some you just walk into like they're not even there, others you have to shoot bubbles at to reveal. At first, I kept bumping into walls like an idiot before realizing half the rooms are invisible. And the enemies? They respawn the second you move two steps away, so backtracking feels like running the same gauntlet over and over.
It's got that old-school "figure it out yourself" vibe—no hand-holding, just trial and error. The music's oddly catchy though, and there's something satisfying about finally uncovering a secret shop after bombing the right spot for the tenth time. Just don't expect it to go easy on you.
