Mega Lo Mania - Jikuu Daisenryaku is one of those weird little SNES gems that never made it outside Japan. It's a real-time strategy game where you pick a faction (vikings, samurai, or knights) and battle across different eras—starting with clubs and ending up with laser guns, which is as ridiculous as it sounds.
At first, it feels like a stripped-down RTS—you just capture towers, mine resources, and upgrade units—but there's something oddly satisfying about watching your cavemen evolve into futuristic soldiers mid-battle. The controls take a minute to get used to (typical SNES-era strategy jank), but once it clicks, you'll be micromanaging your troops like a pro.
It's got that classic '90s pixel art charm, and the music slaps harder than it has any right to. If you're into obscure retro strategy games, this one's a fun time capsule. Just don't expect modern polish.
