Alright, so Kong: King of Atlantis on the GBA is basically what happens when you drop everyone’s favorite giant ape into a sunken city full of weird ruins and angry sea creatures. You’re swinging, climbing, and smashing through these underwater levels that somehow still feel like classic Kong—just with way more bubbles.
The first few minutes throw you right into it: dodging jellyfish, punching sharks (because of course), and figuring out how to not drown while still looking cool. The controls are simple—run, jump, grab ledges—but some of those later jumps? Brutal. I may or may not have yelled at my Game Boy a few times.
Visually, it’s got that early 2000s GBA charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and Atlantis actually looks kinda mystical between all the collapsing bridges. If you’re into old-school platformers with a splash of "why is Kong here, but also, sure," this one’s a solid time. Just watch out for the eels.
