Kaguyahime Game

Kaguyahime on the Game Boy is one of those weird little gems that feels like stumbling into a fairy tale. You play as the moon princess trying to escape her fate, jumping between floating islands and solving these odd, dreamlike puzzles—some involve carrying objects, others need timing with falling leaves. The pixel art has this hazy, watercolor vibe that makes everything feel like an old woodblock print come to life.
It’s not exactly fast-paced, but there’s something hypnotic about it. You’ll push blocks to bridge gaps, dodge celestial guards, and occasionally get stuck staring at the scenery because the music’s just that good. Fair warning: some puzzles are cryptic in that classic 90s way where you might randomly poke at things until something works. Still, it’s short enough that the frustration never lasts. If you’ve got a soft spot for obscure Japanese folklore or games that feel like they’re half-poem, half-adventure, this one’s worth digging up.
