Grand Theft Auto Advance is basically a throwback to the old-school top-down GTA games, but squeezed onto the GBA. You’ve still got the open-world chaos—stealing cars, running from cops, doing jobs for sketchy people—just with chunky pixels and a tiny screen. At first, the controls feel a little cramped, but after a few minutes, you’re weaving through traffic like it’s nothing.
It’s wild how much they crammed in here. The city feels alive with pedestrians to knock over, rival gangs to piss off, and that classic GTA radio station vibe (even if it’s just text scrolling by). Missions are bite-sized, perfect for quick plays, though don’t expect the depth of the 3D games. Still, for a handheld GTA fix, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
