Grand Theft Auto Advance is basically Liberty City crammed into a GBA cartridge—same chaotic energy, just pixelated and viewed from above. You still steal cars, run from cops, and take on shady jobs, but the top-down perspective gives it this weirdly nostalgic feel, like a mix of old-school GTA and a gritty arcade game.
At first, the controls take some getting used to—no analog stick means tapping directions to move, and aiming shots feels a little stiff. But after a few missions, it clicks, and you’re weaving through traffic while cops pile up behind you. The map’s smaller than the 3D GTAs, but it’s packed with alleys, shortcuts, and hidden spots that make it fun to explore.
Don’t expect fancy cutscenes or deep storytelling, though. It’s pure, chaotic GTA action—just portable and way more brutal-looking in 2D. If you’ve got a GBA and a craving for some old-school crime sprees, this one’s a solid pick.
