About Dino Breeder 2
Dino Breeder 2 came out for the Game Boy in 2000, published by J-Wing. It was part of that late era for the handheld, when developers were still experimenting with simulation and breeding games. You don't see many people talk about it now, but it had its own little niche.
You play as a dinosaur caretaker, managing a park and raising different species. Your main goal is to breed dinosaurs, hatch their eggs, and raise them to adulthood. The core loop involves feeding them, cleaning their pens, and making sure they're healthy and happy. You explore different areas screen by screen to find food and new dinosaur eggs, and you can cross breed your creatures to discover rare types. The pacing is slow and methodical; it's not a game you rush through. It feels like a quiet, personal project, watching your prehistoric park slowly come to life.
