Chiki Chiki Tengoku is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that feels like it fell out of a Japanese arcade in the late '80s. You control this tiny, round character bouncing around a single-screen stage, dodging enemies and collecting items—except everything moves in this jittery, almost hypnotic way. The music’s got that classic tinny Game Boy charm, too.
At first, it seems simple, but then the screen starts filling up with these bouncing balls and enemies that move in unpredictable patterns. I kept getting surprised by how chaotic it gets after just a few levels. Definitely one of those "just one more try" kind of games, even if it makes you squint at the tiny sprites.
If you're into retro oddities, this one's a fun little time capsule from the Game Boy's early days.
