Castle Quest is one of those old-school Game Boy puzzlers that looks simple at first—just a knight moving blocks around—but gets seriously tricky fast. You're pushing stones to clear paths, avoiding traps, and trying to reach the exit before time runs out. The first few levels ease you in, but by stage 5, you'll be staring at the screen trying to figure out how the heck to squeeze past those spike pits.
What I like is how each castle has its own gimmick—some have teleporters, others force you to backtrack once you flip a switch. The music’s got that classic chiptune vibe too, all bouncy and repetitive in the best way. Just don’t expect fancy graphics; it’s pure 8-bit grids and sprites.
If you’re into brain teasers that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a solid time-waster. Just maybe keep a walkthrough handy for the later levels.
