Okay, so Bram Stoker's Dracula on Game Boy—yeah, it's one of those movie tie-ins from the '90s, but honestly? It's not half bad. You play as Jonathan Harker (or sometimes Dracula himself in later levels), slashing through creepy castles and dodging bats with this weirdly satisfying little sword swipe. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy game—those vampire brides actually look unsettling.
First thing you'll notice? The music. It's got this gothic organ thing going on that somehow works way better than it should on the Game Boy's tinny speaker. And the platforming's janky in that classic early '90s way—you'll miss jumps because Harker slides like he's on ice, but after a few deaths, you start leaning into it. Pro tip: crouch-stab the wolves. For some reason, it's way more effective than standing attacks.
Funny how this version feels more like a Castlevania-lite than the console ports did. Definitely a hidden gem if you're into retro horror games.
