About Bit Generations - Digidrive (j)(caravan)
Bit Generations: Digidrive came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, part of a series of minimalist games Nintendo published in Japan. It arrived late in the GBA's life, a time when small, abstract puzzle games were a welcome change from bigger adventures.
You control a central hub where colored cars enter from four lanes. Your job is to route these cars into matching colored garages by rotating the hub, clearing them from the screen before they crash. The main mechanics involve planning your rotations to create long chains of the same color and managing the constant, increasing flow of traffic. The game starts calmly but quickly becomes a demanding test of spatial reasoning under pressure. It feels like conducting a hectic, orderly dance against the clock.
