Another World (prototype) Game

Okay, so Another World (prototype) on GBA is one of those weird, rough-around-the-edges relics that somehow still holds up. You boot it up and immediately get hit with that moody pixel art—like someone smeared a sci-fi comic book onto a Game Boy screen. The controls take a second to click (prototype jank, you know?), but once they do, you’re sliding past alien creatures and solving these weird environmental puzzles that feel way ahead of their time.
What’s cool is how little it holds your hand. One minute you’re escaping a prison cell, the next you’re riding some… creature? Yeah, it’s bizarre. The music’s all eerie synths, and the whole thing has this tense, lonely vibe. Definitely not your typical GBA platformer—more like stumbling into an alternate universe where games were always this experimental. If you’re into retro stuff with teeth, give it a shot.
