Man, Aero the Acro-Bat on SNES is one of those weirdly charming platformers that somehow makes bouncing off enemies' heads feel like an actual circus act. You start off flipping through these bright, slightly chaotic levels—think loops, trampolines, and way too many spinning saw blades—while Aero’s floaty jumps take some getting used to. But once it clicks, chaining together mid-air somersaults to clear gaps feels oddly satisfying.
The levels throw everything at you: tightropes, springs that launch you into the stratosphere, and enemies that look like rejected carnival attractions. It’s got that classic '90s difficulty too—expect a few cheap deaths from off-screen hazards. Still, there’s something about the cheesy villain voices and the way Aero spins like a propeller when you hold the button down that just works. If you’re into retro platformers with personality (and a bit of jank), this one’s a time capsule worth dusting off.
