About Wedding Peach
Wedding Peach came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by KSS. It was part of that wave of mid-90s anime adaptations on the console, a time when you'd find all sorts of licensed games trying to capture a show's feel. This one is based on the magical girl series of the same name, so it has that specific look and characters from that era.
You control Momoko Hanasaki, who transforms into the heroine Wedding Peach. The main goal is to fight through side-scrolling stages, defeating monsters to rescue your captured friends. You use a close-range attack with your scepter and can collect power-ups for a screen-clearing special move. The levels are linear, moving from left to right, with some light platforming and boss fights at the end of each area. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy patterns can be tricky. Playing it feels like a straightforward, colorful brawler from that time.
