About Wwf Super Wrestlemania
WWF Super WrestleMania came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Sculptured Software. It was one of the early wrestling games on the console, arriving when the 16-bit era was still defining its sports titles. You got a roster of WWF stars like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker, presented with large, colorful sprites that were a step up from what the 8-bit systems could do.
You pick a wrestler and fight in one-on-one or tag team matches. The main goal is to win the match by pinfall, submission, or count-out. You punch, kick, and grapple your opponent; a signature mechanic is building up a special meter that, when full, lets you perform a wrestler's unique finishing move. Another key element is the momentum-based grappling system, where you try to push the D-pad in the correct direction during a clinch to gain the upper hand. The pacing is fairly quick, though the controls can feel stiff and the difficulty spikes sharply against the computer. Playing it feels like a rough but earnest attempt to capture the spectacle of a WWF event on a new piece of hardware.
