Okay, so TwinBee: Rainbow Bell Adventure is that weird, kinda charming SNES spin-off where the cute little flying ships from the shoot-'em-up games suddenly have legs and jump around like platformer heroes. It’s bright, colorful, and way more relaxed than the original arcade-style games—you’re mostly running, bouncing on clouds, and tossing bells at enemies instead of dodging bullet hell.
At first, it feels a little odd—like, why is TwinBee suddenly a platformer? But the controls are smooth, the music’s stupidly cheerful, and the whole thing has this Saturday-morning-cartoon vibe. You’ll pick up power-ups that change your shots (the spread bell is my go-to), and some stages even throw in light puzzle bits or vertical climbs. Not the deepest game, but it’s got personality.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game you play when you just want something silly and nostalgic without too much stress. The Japanese version’s the only one that exists, but the language barrier’s basically zero—just jump and shoot stuff.
