If you've ever played The Sims and thought, "Man, I wish this was more about hanging out in weird city neighborhoods than vacuuming up puddles," The Urbz is your game. It's still got that classic Sims vibe, but instead of worrying about toilets and stoves, you're out there hustling for reputation points, picking fights with goth kids, or trying to impress the local hip-hop crew. The GBA version is surprisingly deep—you’ve got mini-games, weird jobs (I once got paid to be a human statue), and this whole vibe system where different clothes change how people react to you.
First ten minutes? You’ll create your Urb, pick a starting district (I always go for the punk area first), and immediately get sucked into some bizarre social drama. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you figure out how to navigate those tiny streets, it’s weirdly addictive. Just don’t expect it to play like the mainline Sims games—this one’s all about the grind and the weirdos you meet along the way.
