Okay, so The Terminator on SNES is basically you versus Skynet, but with that classic 16-bit vibe. You start off in a ruined future LA—think pixelated fire, wrecked cars, and those creepy red Terminator eyes glowing in the dark. The first level throws you right into it: dodging patrol bots, scavenging weapons, and realizing pretty quick that running out of ammo is a very bad idea.
The controls take a second to get used to—your guy moves a little stiff, but once you figure out the timing for ducking under laser fire, it clicks. And the soundtrack? Pure synth menace, like someone fed the movie’s theme through a SNES sound chip. It’s tough, yeah, but in that way where beating a level actually feels like you outsmarted the machines. Just don’t expect to breeze through it on your first try.
If you’re into retro action games with a side of Terminator lore, this one’s a solid time capsule.
