About The Ninja
The Ninja came out for the Sega Master System, developed and published by Sega. It was one of the many action games on the platform that tried to capture the feel of arcade-style challenges in a home console format.
You control a ninja navigating a series of single-screen rooms. Your goal is to rescue a kidnapped princess by fighting through enemy ninjas and other guards. You primarily use a sword for close combat and can throw shurikens as a limited ranged attack. The game progresses screen by screen; you clear each area of enemies to advance. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is high, demanding quick reflexes to dodge projectiles and counterattack. Playing it feels like a constant, tense duel where a single mistake can send you back to the beginning.
