If you're into classic King of Fighters action but want it portable, NeoBlood on GBA actually holds up surprisingly well. The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and the controls feel tight once you get used to the shoulder-button combos. I remember thinking the roster was small at first—only 12 characters—but they nailed the essentials like Kyo, Iori, and Terry.
What's cool is how they adapted the tag-team mechanics for the GBA. You pick two fighters and swap between rounds, which keeps matches quick and chaotic. The AI isn't pushover either—expect to get wrecked by the CPU if you button mash. The music's compressed but still has that SNK guitar riff energy.
It's not perfect (the backgrounds are kinda flat), but for a 2002 handheld port, it punches way above its weight. Still fun to boot up when I want some pocket-sized KOF action.
