Okay, so Tetris Attack on SNES isn't actually Tetris—it's more like a frantic block-matching puzzle game where you're constantly scrambling to stay ahead. You slide rows of colorful blocks left and right, trying to line up three or more of the same type to clear them before the stack reaches the top. Sounds simple, but the speed ramps up fast.
The real magic happens when you chain combos—clear one set, and the blocks above drop in ways that can trigger another match if you're quick. I lost way too many rounds because I got greedy trying to set up a big combo instead of just surviving. The music and animations have this weirdly cheerful vibe that somehow makes the panic even funnier.
It's one of those games where you'll yell "ONE MORE TRY" at 2 AM while the garbage blocks pile up. Still holds up today, especially if you grab a friend for versus mode. Just don't blame me when you start seeing falling blocks in your dreams.
