Tennis Ace Game

Tennis Ace on the Sega Master System is one of those old-school sports games that somehow nails the feel of arcade tennis without overcomplicating things. You pick your player—I always went with the guy in the red shirt, no idea why—and jump straight into matches where the ball physics are just floaty enough to keep things interesting.
The controls are dead simple: one button for regular shots, another for lobs. But timing matters way more than you’d think—smash too early, and the ball sails out of bounds. The AI starts off easy, but by the third match, you’ll be scrambling to return those sneaky corner shots. And yeah, the graphics are pixelated as hell by today’s standards, but there’s something satisfying about the way the players slide across the court like they’re on ice.
It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game you fire up when you just want to zone out and hit some digital tennis balls for 20 minutes. Still holds up better than most sports games from that era.
