Ever wanted to wreck stuff as the Tasmanian Devil? Taz-Mania on SNES lets you do exactly that—spin through levels like a furry tornado, chomping on everything in sight. It’s based on the old-school cartoon, so expect bright, chaotic levels filled with weird Aussie wildlife and obstacles that crumble the second you touch them.
At first, the controls feel a little stiff, but once you get the hang of Taz’s spin attack, it’s oddly satisfying to plow through enemies and scenery. Some of the jumps are weirdly precise, though—I definitely faceplanted into a few bottomless pits before figuring out the timing. The music’s got that classic 16-bit charm, and the sprite work actually holds up pretty well for an early ‘90s licensed game.
Not gonna lie, it’s not the deepest platformer out there, but if you’re in the mood for some mindless destruction, Taz delivers.
