The second you boot it up, you're hit with that classic 16-bit crowd noise and a roster full of wrestlers who look like they stepped out of a '90s lucha libre poster. The grappling feels weighty—none of that floaty arcade stuff—and landing a German suplex actually feels like you just wrecked someone.

What I love is how deep the move sets are. At first, I just mashed buttons hoping for a clothesline, but after a few matches, I realized there’s a real rhythm to the counters and reversals. And the create-a-wrestler? Way ahead of its time. Spent way too many hours making a neon-pink-haired grappler who only used dropkicks.
