Super Double Dragon came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Technos Japan. It was part of that wave of arcade style brawlers making the jump to home consoles, where you could finally play through the whole thing without feeding a machine quarters.

You control either Billy or Jimmy Lee, the twin martial artists, working your way from the left side of the screen to the right. Your main goal is to fight through waves of thugs to rescue Marian. The game introduced a few new mechanics, like being able to block incoming attacks and a special move gauge you could fill to unleash more powerful strikes. You explore the city screen by screen, occasionally picking up weapons like knives and baseball bats from defeated enemies. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes feeling a bit slow, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a solid, methodical brawl where you have to think about your positioning and when to commit to an attack.
