Super Buster Bros on SNES is one of those games that seems simple until you realize how sneaky it gets. You start off just shooting bubbles with a harpoon—easy, right? But then they start bouncing faster, splitting into smaller ones, and suddenly you're scrambling to keep up. The controls are tight, though, so when you lose, it's totally your fault (which I appreciate).
What I love is how the stages mix things up—some have walls that bounce bubbles back at you, others force you to time shots between moving platforms. The two-player mode is chaotic in the best way, especially when you accidentally trap your buddy with a badly aimed shot. And yeah, the music? Pure early '90s arcade energy.
It’s the kind of game where you say "one more try" at 11 PM and suddenly it’s midnight.
