Super Bikkuriman on SNES is one of those weird, charming little games that slipped under the radar back in the day. You start off with this candy-themed hero (yeah, really) running and jumping through colorful, slightly surreal levels that feel like a Saturday morning cartoon mixed with classic platforming.
The controls take a minute to get used to—your character has this floaty jump that makes precision landings a bit tricky at first. But once it clicks, you’ll be bouncing off enemies and hunting down hidden power-ups like some kind of sugar-powered ninja. The music’s got that classic SNES chip-tune energy, all bouncy and upbeat.
It’s not the hardest game out there, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the way it plays. If you dig obscure retro platformers with personality, this one’s worth a look.
