Super Battletank 2 (Japan) is the third entry in Garry Kitchen’s tank combat series, and honestly, it’s a solid step up from the first two. You’re still piloting a beefy tank through enemy territory, but the SNES version adds way more polish—smoother controls, better explosions, and these little details like buildings crumbling when you blast them. Feels good.
First few minutes? You’re dropped into a warzone with a basic cannon and a mini-map full of red dots. The enemy AI isn’t genius-level, but they’ll flank you if you sit still too long. I remember wasting half my ammo on a bunker before realizing I could just drive around it. Classic tank logic.
Not gonna lie, the Japan version has some extra flair—slightly tweaked difficulty and a couple of exclusive missions. If you’re into retro shooters with a bit of strategy, this one’s a blast (literally).
