Okay, so Spriggan Powered is one of those SNES games that somehow flew under the radar but absolutely slaps if you're into mech shooters. You hop into this beefy armored suit and just start wrecking everything—robots, tanks, weird alien things—while dodging bullets like you're in some cyberpunk ballet. The controls are tight, and the action never lets up.
At first, I thought it was just another run-and-gun, but there’s actually some strategy to it. You’ve got different weapons to swap between, and some levels force you to think fast or get overwhelmed. The soundtrack? Pure 16-bit adrenaline, all synths and basslines that make the explosions feel even bigger.
If you’ve played the other Spriggan games, you’ll recognize the style, but even if you’re new, it’s easy to jump in and start blasting. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you—this one’s got teeth. By the third stage, you’ll either be hooked or rage-quitting (but probably hooked).
