Man, Spawn on SNES is one of those games that just feels like the 90s—dark, edgy, and packed with that classic side-scrolling brawler energy. You jump in as Spawn, chains swinging, guns blazing, and immediately get thrown into this grimy underworld full of demons and thugs. The first level alone has you smashing through alleys and dodging fireballs like some kind of supernatural street brawl.
The animations are surprisingly smooth for an SNES title, especially when Spawn whips out his cape or goes full rage mode. And that soundtrack? Moody synth beats that make you feel like you’re in some forgotten midnight comic book. It’s not the deepest game—mostly just punch, shoot, repeat—but there’s something satisfying about how over-the-top it all is.
Fair warning, though: it gets tough fast. You’ll die a few times figuring out the enemy patterns, but that’s half the fun. If you’ve got a soft spot for gritty 16-bit action, this one’s worth firing up.
