Man, Sonic Advance 2 still holds up as one of the best Sonic games on GBA. You’ve got that classic speed—blasting through loops, bouncing off springs, grinding rails—but with just enough platforming to keep you on your toes. The first time I played, I wiped out hard on that jungle zone with all the vines you gotta swing from. Took me a few tries to get the timing right.

What’s cool is how each character feels different—Tails can fly short distances, Knuckles climbs walls, and Cream (yeah, the rabbit with the Chao) is weirdly fun once you get used to her floaty jumps. The special stages for Chaos Emeralds are brutal though, like trying to steer a shopping cart down an ice rink.

If you’ve got a GBA or an emulator lying around, this one’s a blast to revisit.
