Sonic Battle (u)(rising Sun) Game

Okay, so Sonic Battle is basically Sonic and friends throwing hands in a GBA fighting game—but it's way more than just button mashing. You pick your favorite character (I always went with Knuckles because, well, punches), and then it's this weird mix of arena brawling and RPG elements. You can customize moves, which sounds simple until you realize Shadow's chaos powers feel totally different from Amy's hammer swings.
The stages are small but chaotic, with platforms and hazards that actually matter—like getting knocked into a pit or using a spring to dodge. The story mode's surprisingly involved for a GBA fighter, with cutscenes and everything, though the AI can be brutal once you hit the later fights. It's janky in that early-2000s handheld way, but there's charm in how over-the-top some of the special moves look on that tiny screen.
Definitely one of the weirder Sonic spin-offs, but I still dig it for quick matches when I'm bored.
