Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors is one of those rare GBA fighters that actually gets it right—no sluggish combat, no awkward controls. You’re zipping around in mid-air battles that feel fast and fluid, pulling off ki blasts and rush attacks like you’re watching an episode of the anime. The roster covers most of the big names (Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, etc.), and each character has three power levels that change their moveset—base form Goku plays totally different from Super Saiyan 2 Goku, which keeps fights from getting stale.

What’s cool is the "what if?" scenarios in Story Mode. Ever wondered what’d happen if Piccolo teamed up with Frieza? The game lets you find out. There’s also a shop where you unlock extra characters and harder difficulties, plus a bunch of modes like Z Battle for quick skirmishes or Remote Vs. if you’ve got a link cable and a friend dumb enough to challenge you.

Only real downside? Missing a few fan favorites like Android 17 and SSJ3 Goku. But for a GBA game, it’s packed with enough content to keep you throwing energy waves for a while. The sequel on DS is solid, but this one’s still the better pick if you ask me.
