Smash TV on SNES is basically the arcade classic crammed into your living room—with all the chaotic, over-the-top action intact. You’re dumped into a neon-drenched arena, twin-stick blasting waves of goons while a cheesy announcer screams about prizes like toasters and VCRs. It’s ridiculous in the best way.
The controls take a second to click (no actual twin-stick on SNES, so it’s face buttons for shooting), but once they do, it’s pure carnage. Enemies swarm from every door, bullets fill the screen, and you’ll be backpedaling like crazy just to survive. Pro tip: grab the spread gun early unless you enjoy pain.
It’s one of those games where you’ll die a lot, but each run feels just short enough to make you mutter “one more try” at 2 AM. The SNES version loses a bit of the arcade’s visual punch, but the mayhem’s all there. Big money! Big prizes! I love it!
