About Rockman & Forte (japan)
Rockman & Forte came out in 1998 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed and published by Capcom. It was one of the later releases for the SNES, arriving when many players were already moving to newer consoles. The game is set in the Mega Man universe but shifts the focus, letting you choose between two different characters from the start.
You control either Rockman (Mega Man) or Forte (Bass), each with distinct abilities. Rockman can slide under low obstacles, while Forte can double jump and dash in multiple directions. Your main goal is to stop a new villain, the King robot, by fighting through eight robot masters in any order you choose. The game is structured screen by screen, with precise platforming and enemy placement that demands quick reflexes. You collect special weapons from defeated bosses and search for hidden CDs that unlock gallery content. The pacing is fast, but the difficulty is notably high, with some stages featuring punishing enemy patterns and tricky jumps. Playing it feels like a constant test of your skill and memory.
